More Poetic Nature

By Daniel Paiz

Poetry is always about trying something different or outside of your usual wheelhouse. This piece is short and sweet. There’s previous poetry about some of the few wonders of the world out there in nature as well. Consider this a part two if you will.

More Poetic Nature

Hatched at the base of where sulfur and methane sputter to emerge,

are eggs cooked over-hard, but fluff will roll out the sandy Earth,

if you wanted a metal hatching then observe Volcano birds,

no parents no problem as from the start they know their worth,

whether it’s ash or torrential downpours or something more,

sure, rolling with the punches must glow beyond metaphors,

sometimes ya gotta box life a little unorthodox,

Babirusa tusks will help you clock anyone off their block.

Then you gotta cool down,

rest, relax,

and clean things up,

quite sweaty and dusty from the water hole,

muddy relief found a la Sumatran rhino,

but the true healing power,

the cover out amongst the woods,

medicinal shade only like a dipterocarp tree could.
