Rahzel and MC Supernatural Live at La Raza Park unfolded on a rainy September Saturday back in 2022. A day full of Hip-Hop and community, local pillar and emcee Dent organized the Who’s Shinin’ 3 event in North Denver. What took two years to write about it might be one of the first things that comes to mind when reading this; that’s a fair question.
The video footage archiving the world-famous Human Beatbox Rahzel and freestyle legend MC Supernatural was thought to be lost. There was some phone footage of the event, but it wasn’t the best. Lo and behold, this footage appeared on an SD card I had set aside after working on another project.
Rahzel & Supernatural
Legends in their respective arenas of musical creation, these two together sounded and felt like an effortless pairing. Their countless performances, enthusiastic energy, and visceral appreciation of Hip-Hop pours out through their time at La Raza Park. Below is the footage put together. Capturing and sharing worldwide champions of Hip-Hop in our local community is something I always savor, and adding another chapter to Denver’s extensive footage is what it’s all about.
Here’s the footage:
