Reflection is an important aspect of writing, because life provides countless examples to sample. Regardless of age, education, and experience, you and I can still repeat mistakes that had been resolved before. That’s where patience comes in.
Practicing patience is one of several lessons from NaPoWriMo, and the below is a reminder.
Reminder of Self-Worth
Being too available
leads to being taken for granted.
Make oneself hard to book,
see what ends up happening,
selective gets chosen,
because it smells similar to exclusivity,
in reality it’s just deciphering,
what is and isn’t for thee.
A lesson that seems obvious,
so much so it gets overlooked,
all the above is to say,
don’t give away
energy, effort, or self-worth.
