History to Repeat is inevitable in some form or fashion. It doesn’t get replicated exactly most times, but it does keep happening. Especially when one doesn’t learn from the previous occurrence. Sometimes, however, that repeating pattern is good, and things bounce your way. Poetry, basketball, and more can have this mindset applied to it.
History to Repeat
57 wins to tie a franchise record,
last time they did it coming up short was the placard.
But thankfully,
repeating the previous year is still in the cards,
this game of chance is based upon
effort, planning, and making your own odds.
Younger supporting cast with a veteran or two,
stand behind five stalwarts difficult to get through.
Two will baffle your attempts, swish and jam you the other way,
one is a wild card that’ll break out via swatting or a big net filet,
and the last two.
Dynamic duo generational in their cooperation,
rolling a myriad of ways depending on the situation.
Blue Arrow nailing targets,
flushing all over and making crowds roar and scream,
while the funny man fancy foot works lazily,
passing in directions unknown gracefully.
The deck isn’t in your favor,
when dealt a Joker special,
champions rise and will repeat their historical destiny.
