Haiku of Pressure (2/30 NaPoWriMo 2025)

By Daniel Paiz

Haikus are very short yet can be very powerful. There are just three lines to a haiku. The first one consists of five syllables, the second entry is seven syllables, and the final part is five syllables again. Haikus can rhyme, they don’t have to, and they should surmise much in a very compact space. There have been a lot of haikus throughout the years in this establishment, and that isn’t going to slow down now.

What can often stress us out, tucker us out, push us past comfort zones, is also what helps out the most.

Haiku of Pressure

Balancing the world,

When a breath will give some ease,

Hardened views must cease.
