One Shining Moment (Day 6 of NaPoWriMo 2015)

Back to the poetry after last night’s five words of death, tonight’s piece will be themed one way in particular. Check below to see if you can catch onto what it is:

Dribble, dribble, dribble….

visualize the barriers in front of you,

and realize that what stands in the way

is not what first appears.

The only opponent that you will ever face,

is the orange sphere.

The orange orb of opportunity

or the obnoxious oval of obsoleteness.

back and forth,

the post-ups,

the cuts,

the picks one should roll,

the switches to make or not,

your technical ignorance of the paint,

will result in violations damaging you,

so many terms to be referenced,

the essence is this:

that symphony you hear for a moment.

One shining moment,

where threads simultaneously sing in harmony,

with an echo so sudden,

you recall prior memories of it more often

than you actually listen to it.

Never stop playing,

never stop hustling,

because this art will always pay you back tenfold.
