National poetry writing month tends to align with one of the best times of the year: the start of the NBA playoffs. For some, this doesn’t mean a whole lot. Those folks continue writing poems during national poetry writing month and keep it moving.
But for basketball obsessed entities like myself, it is that time of the year where this amazing sport is the center of the sporting world. Whether you support a team expected to win it all, a team that’s underrated, or a team just happy to be here, it’s a certain level of joy. To put it to words can be a daunting task. Good thing this Mile High haiku will simplify my thoughts on this playoff season.
