National Poetry Writing Month might need to go a different direction after today. That’s because haikus are starting to dominate over other forms, though it’s completely by accident. They aren’t as simple as they usually appear to be.
Other haikus have taken more pondering, while others have been rushed. Whatever your method is in creating poems and/or haikus, it’s important to do the following: let the words resonate with you and sit with them to meditate.
Meditate Haiku
Select what calms most,
Picture your quiet silence,
For me, mountain views.
